The application process for our Service Dogs is designed in a manner that ensures commitment from the potential handler, not only in the proper care of their new partner, but also a commitment to maintaining the high training standards of Searchlight Service Dogs.
We expect and ensure that our service dogs are placed in the stable and caring home environment they deserve.
Potential clients are expected to provide a valid prescription from their physician which will indicate the medical need for a service dog, as well as a current Police criminal background check.
Enrollment into our program requires the submission of an application fee which is fully refundable, should the candidate be unsuccessful in completing all stages of the program. This application fee is only collected if the client is accepted into our program.
